This past month we have been challenged to Rise Up and Build; to trust God to prosper us as we continue to honor Him through the passionate stewardship of that which He has given us. To launch this initiative, our Board of Trustees, the Initiative Team and Staff have committed to invest $39,955, above and beyond their regular tithe, into our campus. And over this past month, many of you have risen up and shown your support through pledging your generosity as well. It is through your continued generosity that we are able to keep our facilities save and functional for all who visit us and enable us to reach deeper into the community of Madera and around the world to demonstrate the power of God’s love.
Many projects around our campus are already under way. One of the most visible improvements has been the removal of two of the pews in the back of the Sanctuary to accommodate our need to incorporate space for wheelchairs in our worship services. Other improvements to our Sanctuary that you can expect to see in the near future include a new computer and projector as well as a new soundboard, all of which are vital to our worship experience. And in our Youth Area there are a number of improvements that are taking place.
This month, on Saturday, April 29th, we have the opportunity to reach out into our community with God’s love in a practical way through LOVE MADERA. We will be joining several other churches and volunteers from our community showing that we care about Madera. The project our LOVE MADERA Team Leader, Larry Hibdon, has chosen for us as Fourth Street to concentrate on is teaming up with the Madera Parks and Recreation and doing some maintenance and clean up along the bike trail going west from Schnoor Ave. Larry will be communicating more details about this to us as the date approaches. If this project does not appeal to you, there many other projects you can become involved in. Just visit the LOVE MADERA web site at www.lovemadera.com and sign up.
Let’s continue to move ahead together. “And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.” Philippians 1:6 (NLT)
Peace and Blessing,
